The daily threshold is 8 hours and the weekly threshold is 48 hours. Hours worked beyond either point count as overtime and are paid at 1.5× the regular rate.

Some hours are priced by the kind of day they fall on rather than by how many hours were worked. The rates below are statutory minimums in Vietnam, and an agreement may set more. Work on a weekly rest day is paid at not less than 2× the ordinary hourly rate.

Work on a holiday is paid at not less than 3× the ordinary hourly rate.
