Overtime Rules in Israel

A rest break of at least 45 minutes applies once a shift exceeds 6 hours. Unpaid breaks are excluded from paid hours, which is how the hours calculator treats the break field by default.

Some hours are priced by the kind of day they fall on rather than by how many hours were worked. The rates below are statutory minimums in Israel, and an agreement may set more. The calculator applies the daily and weekly thresholds above, not these: it cannot know which day of your week was a rest day or a holiday, so apply them yourself.

Work on a weekly rest day is paid at not less than 1.5× the ordinary hourly rate.
