The daily threshold is 8 hours and the weekly threshold is 40 hours. Hours worked beyond either point count as overtime and are paid at 1.5× the regular rate.

No statutory rest break with a fixed hours threshold is recorded for China in the source cited below. Break entitlements may still come from the collective agreement or from sector rules. Either way, unpaid breaks are excluded from paid hours, which is how the hours calculator treats the break field by default.

Some hours are priced by the kind of day they fall on rather than by how many hours were worked. The rates below are statutory minimums in China, and an agreement may set more. Work on a weekly rest day is paid at not less than 2× the ordinary hourly rate.

Work on a holiday is paid at not less than 3× the ordinary hourly rate.
