A timesheet is a document, not just a sum. Each week is a real date range starting on your locale’s first day of the week, with a set of daily rows, and the finished sheet shows regular hours, overtime hours and the total in the layout a manager, a client or a payroll system expects to receive. The same arithmetic engine as the hours calculator runs underneath — overnight shifts, unpaid breaks, twelve- and twenty-four-hour input, decimal and hh:mm output — so switching between the two does not change your numbers.

Weeks are addressed by date, so last week is one click back and stays available while this week is being filled in, and a month view adds the same weeks up for a monthly period. Each person carries their own rate, which is what separates a time card calculator from a single-purpose duration tool.

The employee roster holds named people, each with their own rate and their own weekly rows, and rolls them up into one total for the week or for the month. That is the case a spreadsheet handles badly: every new person means another copied formula block, and one wrong cell reference quietly changes a payroll figure.

Overtime is applied per person against the thresholds of the country you select, from the same rules table the overtime pages are built on. Hours above a daily or weekly threshold are separated into their own line and priced at the statutory multiplier, rather than being averaged into a flat total — which is what makes the sheet defensible when someone checks it.

The print stylesheet is free and unrestricted. Print or save as PDF through your browser and you get a clean sheet with no navigation, no colour blocks and no cut-off columns — for many people that is the whole job, and it costs nothing. So are the roster itself, per-person rates, the weekly and monthly totals, importing a CSV from another system, exporting your own rows as CSV for one person or for everyone, and a JSON backup of everything the site keeps for you. Rows you typed are yours, so taking them out is never paid for.
